Kilali's Polynesian Revue - Phoenix Polynesian Dance
Kilali's Polynesian Revue
www.polynesianrevue.com Nauma and Gladys Apelu moved from Hawaii to Arizona 6 years ago. They both worked at the Polynesian Cultural Center, Hawaii’s #1 tourist attraction while making their way through College at the nearby Brigham Young University-Hawaii Campus. Nauma worked in the Villages demonstrating the coconut husking, fire making and coconut tree climbing. Gladys was a dancer in the Villages, the Canoe Show and Night Show, also the MC for both the Canoe Show and Night Show. Both danced with the Promotional Team and are also featured in their promotional video. With all this love and knowledge of performing, they saw a way to share their exciting culture with others while living here in the Valley of the Sun. Thus, they started the Kilali’s Polynesian Revue which is named after “Gladys”. Kilali is the Polynesian translation. All the performers are of Polynesian decent and share the same love for Polynesian dancing. We are currently located in Mesa, AZ and have performed all over the East Valley for Senior Citizen Homes, Retirement Homes, Active Adult Communities, Elementary Schools, High Schools, Company parties, Church gatherings, Weddings, Graduations, Birthday parties etc. Our show is a great family entertainment and costumes and humor are G-Rated. We bring the “Aloha Spirit” to your event and you will not be disappointed!
