Gabi - Belly Dancer Newark

Gabi has been dancing ever since she can remember. She was a member of troupes: Zagareet and Urban Desert Dancers and performed with them locally as well as been featured as a soloist appearing in New York's Lafayette Grill and Cafe Figaro. Ever since Gabi started she has been dedicated to the art form and learned from master teachers, trained almost everyday and creating her own choreographies. She comes from a theatrical background as her parents were both actors in Europe and grew up surrounded by artistic influences. Gabi also has had a life long fascination with arabic culture and always loved music and dancing. She also always felt a longing to express her femininity and creativeness. As a result of all that Bellydance has become the passion of her life. That passion is evident in her performances as she dances from her heart and her joy is shared with her audience. She is accomplished in different styles of Bellydance like Turkish and Cabaret but favors the elegant Egyptian style. Props include: zills (finger cymbals), vail, Isis wings, sword and cane.
