Kalinka Mahaila - Atlanta Belly Dancer

The performances of Kalinka Mahaila show the beauty, the joy and the magic of the Middle Eastern enchanting all publics and making the difference in all kind of events such as: Fairs, conventions, fashion shows, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and thematic parties. The performances can be tailor-made to guarantee success for companies parties, dinners and show programs. Each performance is planned in accordance with the event creating great interaction with the audience. For this, diverse dance styles can be used such as veils, snujs, candelabra (shamadan dance), raqs assaya (cane dance), khaligee, sword and much more!!!!! Kalinka is originally from Sao Paulo - Brazil. She start doing bellydance class in late 1999, just for fun, and because she always felt she was too shy too, after the first class she just dound joy in Middle Eastern dance and wants learn more and more about the culture, the different kind of middle eastern dance and everthing else related to bellydance... A FUTURE BELLYDANCER WAS BORN! Kalinka began her first belly dancing class in a gym in Sao Paulo and soon discovered in the city a place called Khan El Khalili, specialize in bellydance class and decided to try it too. Dance has been her inspiration, her outlet for creative energy, her avenue to making friends in a new community after relocating to Georgia (Atlanta) in 2005, and her escape from her 'day job'. More than anything else, the thing Kalinka finds most rewarding about dance is the opportunity it has presented for community and friendship. This has been true of all the dance forms she has tried throughout the years. Most of her closest friends since around 2000 have been people she has met through her dance activities. Professional Development Courses: Ongoing attendance at dance seminars over the years for continued professional development, including numerous one-day seminars taught by assorted visiting instructors including Jillina, Lulu Sabongi, Dina, Saida, amar Gamal, Bozenka and many others.
