Serena is a professional belly dance performer and instructor based in Orange County, California. Serena has had various dance training throughout the years, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, Polynesian and Middle Eastern dance; she incorporates her diverse dance background with her belly dancing to create a fun and unique style. She has primarily studied belly dancing with Angelika Nemeth and Lilla Varese in Orange County and is currently a member of their professional performance troupes. Serena is also proficient with finger cymbals, veil, Isis wings, cane, and candles.

Serena's performance experience includes, appearing on the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance (IAMED) DVDs consecutively in 2005, 2006 and 2007, performing annually at various festivals such as Cairo Carnivale and Market at the Casbah, and performing weekly at various Middle Eastern restaurants in the Orange County area, such as Aegean Cafe and Darya.. In 2007, Serena competed in the group category of Belly Dance of the Universe Competition, placing 3rd runner up. She also traveled to Cairo, Egypt in 2007, where she studied and performed at the internationally recognized Ahlan Wa Sahlan Festival.

Serena is a dynamic dancer who demonstrates quality talent and entertainment. She is available for hire for private and corporate events, including but not limited to, weddings, bridal showers, birthday and anniversary parties, festivals, school events, and more. Serena can accomodate a culturally entertaining show based upon the nature of event. Shows may typically range from 25-60 minutes in length.

Serena teaches beginning through advanced level belly dance group classes, focusing on Egyptian, cabaret, and fusion style. Her teaching style incorporates traditional Egyptian influences, as well as ballroom and Polynesian. Group classes are held weekly at Pro Dance Center in Irvine, CA. Classes offer a personalized and fun learning environment. Serena is also available for private and semi-private instruction.
